The ruling body of the city-state Brogg, it is made up of the patriarchs of the various dwarven clans in Brogg. Mostly, Clan Brogg, Clan Dureb, Clan Frenz and Clan Raitarch are the four most powerful. Clan Brogg is the most powerful, and its patriarch Jarow Brogg, is considered the de facto leader of the Dwarven Circle. However, Clan Dureb is its fierce competitor for power, led by the patriarch Telmek Dureb. Clan Frenz is led by the runesmith patriarch Pelk Frenz and is mostly concerned with matters of industry than power. Clan Raitarch’s patriarch Wellegg Raitarch is known for working to protect the rights of the smaller clans. This, of course, is so that he can win their loyalty (and their fragmented political power) to create a strong minority voice which often will defy many of the Circle’s edicts and decisions to curtail expanding Brogg and Dureb power.
The Dwarven Circle is ambitious and many others see them as greedy for not only power, but also land and wealth. They have come to blows with Rosett many times and consider humans to be rash, unsophisticated and lazy. However, their feelings do not necessarily reflect the rest of the dwarven population, who have developed strong ties with their ingenious neighbors. The Dwarven Circle seeks for Dragonian artifacts with great zeal, hoping that the secrets locked within will reveal even more powerful methods of infusing magic within their own creations and artifacts. Already, rumors of beings carved of rock being granted sentience through dragonian knowledge are spreading through the valley like wildfire.
