A large city near Rosett, is made up of hardy country folk who refuse to bend down to Rosett’s will. Though Rosett has tried to conquer and annex Rube many times into their rule, the people prove to be difficult to control. Nestled deep within the dark Felmore Forest, they harry supply lines and ambush soldiers sent to garrison the village, thus causing occupation a hazardous and expensive endeavor. Rosett’s politicians now consider Rube a close ally after ceasing any actions to subjugate the nearby village, and instead trade heavily with them.
Rube’s hearty males, usually of human, elven and half-elf variety, make excellent scouts and soldiers in Rosett’s standing army, and many sell their sword arms for mercenary work. They are well known for their fighting and survival skills. Between 10,000 to 20,000 people live in Rube, depending if a war is occurring. Rube is led by a village elder, who acts more as a general than an elder, who is assisted by several counselors, the real power figures in the village.
